How to Vote Early: June 26 - August 10
The Primary Election is August 11. There are two ways to vote before the August 11 primary. Pick whichever works for you.
Vote Early, In Person
In-person voting begins June 26 and runs through August 10.
There are 40 locations in Hennepin County where you can vote early, during the early voting period — each has specific days and hours.

Vote by Mail
Apply for a ballot, it comes to your home, you fill it out, and you mail it or drop it off.
→ Apply for a mail ballot online
→ Download a paper application
Apply early: at least 2 weeks ahead if applying online, 3 weeks ahead if mailing in a paper application. Mailed ballots must arrive by 8 p.m. on August 11 — ballots dropped off in person must arrive by 5 p.m. that day.
Once your ballot arrives, fill it out, get a witness to watch you sign (any U.S. citizen who'll be 18 by Election Day, or a notary), then mail it back or drop it off.
